About Us
Bedford Barber School is a dedicated training facility where trainee barbers can learn with confidence, knowing they are being educated by one of Bedford's leading barber shops.
You will be taught primarily by lead tutor, Chris Boyall, who has built his career over 10 years by learning his trade as an Apprentice Barber at D'Arcys Barber Shop.
What makes us unique is the way in which we teach. We understand the time learning is valuable so our focus is to teach you to cut hair and not perform simple tasks such as answering the phone!
We focus on the fundamentals
The Course
Barbering is one of the most popular and upcoming professions in which to start a career, so we have designed this course for beginners to focus on the fundamentals of barbering including clipper work, scissor work, blow-drying and cut-throat technique. In our experience in training barbers we have seen not enough scissor work is being taught. So with Bedford Barber School you will be taught to use scissors properly to compliment your skin fades.
This course also offers shop experience. During this you may not be cutting hair but you will be learning invaluable skills such as customer consultation, customer retention and all about the day-to-day workings of a Barber Shop.
The course offers the benefit of flexible learning. Our training days are Monday to Friday from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and can be tailored around each student's commitments. Each student will complete 36 hours of practical work plus 6 hours of shop experience.
Cost
The Bedford Barber School course costs £600.
This includes expert tuition and guidance, 36 hours of practical experience and 6 hours of shop experience.
